What is an Instant Pot Liner?
The instant pot is not able to utilize plastic liners for easy cleanup like the slow cooker liners you often see advertised.
The instant pot liners that are referenced in many articles is actually the inner pot of the instant pot. This is the removable inner pot that you cook in and can pull out and clean when you are done cooking.
Since there is no single use plastic liner to make clean up easier with an Instant Pot there are few other alternatives that will make cleaning up after pressure cooking a breeze. Let's not forget we can make a whole meal in just ONE pot!

Using a stackable steamer basket set will keep your electric pressure cooker clean. To cook with this method you would add water to the inner cooking pot prior to turning on your instant pot. You can cook your meal and you side dishes all in one pot with this set!
I have three inner pots for my instant pot because I use it so often. If I make a soup I'll put the whole pot with a silicone lid on it or a tempered glass lid on it right into the refrigerator.

What is the Instant Pot Liner made of?
There are two types of Instant Pot Inner Pots. Your instant pot likely came with a stainless steel inner cooking pot, but you can also purchase a ceramic coated non stick inner pot like the ones below. All instant pot liners listed in this article are dishwasher safe and BPA free.
What are Slow Cooker Liners?
A slow cooker liner or crock pot liner is a plastic liner a lot like a large plastic freezer bag or those bags you can cook a turkey in to keep the moisture in. They are a one time use liner that you use in your slow cooker and throw away after the meal is complete. See an example here: Slow Cooker Liners. Since slow cookers cook food at low temperatures for a long period of time it is safe to use plastic liners for slow cooking.

My Favorite Instant Pots
My two instant pots are both the traditional 8 quart instant pot. I love this instant pot, and quite honestly for the average family it is all you need. My husband and I both work at home and these pots get used daily, but there are other larger models or combo models that combine the pressure cooking function with the air fry functions. I also love my air fryer but I prefer to keep them seperate. That said. I have not tried teh combo models, so maybe I'll change my mind some day.
That all said, these two instant pots are so cute that they are hard to resist. If you are looking for a gift for someone who loves the instant pot or who doesn't have one and you know they will love it then splurge on one of these. They are only a few more doallars than the original instant pot and they add such a cute accent to your kitchen:

Large Electric Pressure Cookers
There are some larger models of Instant Pots and other brands of Electric Pressure Cookers. I was only able to find one readily available Instant Pot 10 Quart as of May of 2023. There is also a 12-quart Pressure Cooker available from MegaChef. These models are great for larger families or when you are cooking for a crowd.
